In Namangan region, a father indebted for alimony was caught while trying to escape by climbing over a fence. This was reported by Farrukh Toshpulatov, press secretary of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau.
It is noted that on January 20, 2026, a person wanted for a 30 million soum alimony debt was detained by employees of the search department of the Namangan regional directorate of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau. He had previously served 15 days of administrative detention for failing to pay alimony.
It is reported that while being brought to the department to initiate a criminal case, he tried to escape by climbing over a fence, but was quickly recaptured as a result of prompt actions.
Furthermore, according to information, in Namangan region during 2025, criminal cases were initiated against 61 out of 258 wanted alimony debtors. Administrative measures were applied to 146 individuals, and a total of 396 million soums in alimony debts were recovered from 31 debtors. Currently, 82 individuals remain wanted.
