A cashless (electronic) payment system for public transport will be introduced in the city of Bukhara. This is stated in the decision of the governor of Bukhara region, Botir Zaripov here.

The decision was announced on January 24, 2025.

The Bukhara city administration (K. Tursunov) is tasked with gradually installing automated self-service infokiosks for selling electronic chips at all bus stops in the city of Bukhara within one month, covering all bus routes and stops where they are operational.

For information, it was accepted that the fare per passenger on city routes is set at 3,000 soums (including VAT), with an incentive discount applied when paying through the electronic payment system (EPS), making it 2,000 soums (including VAT), and a limited tariff for calculating tariff plans depending on the number of trips is set at 2,000 soums (including VAT).

Payments will be made through the EPS system.

This decision is set to enter into force on the day of its announcement.
