According to analyses conducted by the research center under the Competition Committee, the saturation level with local products remains low in a number of commodity markets.
In particular, the share of local production in the MDF board market was only 8.1 percent. For sports footwear, this figure stood at 10.2 percent, and for shoe cream, it was 11.1 percent.
For certain goods, such as electric razors and lighters, local production is completely absent — the market is fully supplied through imports.
According to the analysis results, there are significant opportunities for establishing and expanding domestic production in these areas. The committee calls on entrepreneurs to pay attention to these segments.
