According to data from the PowerOutage.us service, as of 00:16 Tashkent time, at least 330,000 homes in Tennessee and over 100,000 homes in Mississippi and Louisiana were without power. Texas, Kentucky, Georgia, West Virginia, and Alabama were also listed among the areas affected by the storm.
According to data from the flight tracking site FlightAware, nearly 11,000 flights across the USA have been canceled.
At the same time, Washington's Ronald Reagan National Airport announced the cancellation of all flights last night. Over 80% of flights were canceled at major airports in New York, Philadelphia, and North Carolina.
The problems in the transport and power systems caused by the storm have created serious inconveniences for the population; the government and emergency services are working to stabilize the situation.
