At the actions that took place on January 26, participants came forward with demands to end femicide, impose severe punishment on criminals, and ensure the safety of migrant women.

Demonstrators marched under slogans such as "Migrant women are not alone," "Femicide is a political issue."

Local activists assessed this tragedy as a consequence of a policy of impunity and called for the case to be conducted under public oversight. It was reported that two suspects related to the crime were detained at Istanbul Airport.
