On February 6, the highest state award of Pakistan — the "Nishan-e-Pakistan" Order — was presented to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the "Aiwan-e-Sadr" residence in the city of Islamabad. The press service of the President reported this.
During the ceremony, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari solemnly presented the award to the leader of Uzbekistan. It was noted that this order is a recognition of efforts aimed at expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, as well as an expression of friendly relations and deep respect for the people of Uzbekistan.
The parties expressed confidence that the Uzbekistan-Pakistan strategic partnership will be elevated to a new level in substance.
