According to him, an "entire army" has set out towards the region.

In an interview with Axios, Trump said the issue of directing a second U.S. Navy carrier strike group towards Iran is being considered. He emphasized that Washington is striving to reach an agreement with Iran in the near future, otherwise "very severe measures" could be taken.

It was reported that on February 6, indirect negotiations between Iran and the U.S. began in Oman. The American delegation demanded that Tehran step back from its nuclear program, missile arsenal, and support for proxy forces in the region.

Iran, for its part, expressed readiness to renegotiate the nuclear deal on the condition that sanctions are lifted. At the same time, Tehran announced it would continue uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes.

Previously, Trump had emphasized several times that military measures could be taken if Iran did not agree to restructure the 2015 nuclear deal.
