In the city of Kokand in the Fergana region, one citizen died as a result of a fire that occurred in a multi-story building, and three more people were hospitalized.

On February 16 at 21:18, a report was received by the Emergency Situations Department of Fergana region via the "112" system about a fire occurring in a multi-story building located on "Muqimiy" street in Kokand city.

Fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 21:23, surrounded the fire by 21:25, and completely extinguished it by 21:32.

According to preliminary information, the fire occurred as a result of an explosion of a gas-air mixture. As a result, the roof and ceiling section covering an area of 50 square meters in apartment 28, as well as household belongings, were burned and damaged.

Due to the explosion, 4 citizens with varying degrees of burn injuries were admitted to the city medical association. Despite the medical care provided, one of them died.

The causes of the incident are currently being determined.
