At the first meeting of the "Peace Council" held in the USA on February 19, Donald Trump stated that Uzbekistan also supports this initiative and has provided financial assistance.
According to his words, a total of more than 7 billion dollars has been allocated for the aid package by Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait.
The summit is taking place at the US Institute of Peace and is attended by representatives of about 40 countries.
During the event, while introducing the guests, Trump mentioned having difficulty pronouncing the surname of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, jokingly emphasizing that he considers him a friend and that it is one of the most difficult surnames in history.
