On the night of February 21, Pakistan's military aviation carried out airstrikes against militants in the eastern regions of Afghanistan. While the Pakistani government described these strikes as "operations based on intelligence, targeting specific objectives," the Afghan government protested against them.

Pakistani officials stated that the strikes targeted the "Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan" (TTP) and its affiliated groups during the attacks. According to an official statement, these groups may have been behind some of the most dangerous attacks in Pakistan recently.

The Pakistani government, including the Ministry of Information in Islamabad, called the attacks a measure to "ensure national security" and demanded that the international community put pressure on Afghanistan.

The Afghan government reported that dozens of civilians, especially women and children, were killed as a result of the attacks. Preliminary information indicates that at least 17 people, including members of several families, were killed.

According to Afghan officials, the strike targeted houses in Bihsud district, and 12 children and teenagers were killed in that house. Furthermore, photos and videos showing many people injured and residential areas destroyed are circulating on social media.

The Afghan Ministry of Defense condemned the attack and warned Pakistan of a proper and timely response.
