A family in North Korea was arrested solely for possessing a Bible. Most notably, it is reported that the family's two young children were also sentenced to life imprisonment along with their parents and sent to a political labor camp.
Reports indicate that in the country, possessing Christian literature, worshiping, or participating in religious ceremonies is considered a crime against the state. It is emphasized that such restrictions are linked to the policies of the current leadership.
International organizations have previously reported several times that under the system led by Kim Jong Un, the issue of religion is under strict control.
