In Tashkent, plans are underway to create 25 thousand hectares of green areas, establish new parks covering 134 hectares, and review certain construction projects.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed proposals for the development of urbanization and the expansion of green areas in the capital. According to forecasts, by 2045, the city's population will more than double from the current 3.1 million.

Therefore, it is planned to triple the area of green zones to 25 thousand hectares and increase green space per capita to 6 square meters. It is also planned to establish new public parks with a total area of 134 hectares in 9 districts of the city.

Of the 85 reviewed construction projects, it was proposed to approve 18, modify 12, and redesign 54. As a result of the projects, it is expected to create an additional $1.5 billion in regional product annually and open 260 thousand jobs.

The President gave instructions to officials to carry out urbanization processes based on ecology, a healthy environment, and public interests.
