On February 26, a ceremony was held at our country's Consulate General in Saint Petersburg to solemnly present the "Jasorat" (Courage) medal to our compatriot, Ibadullayev Khayrullo Saydullayevich.
The event was attended by Uzbekistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation B. Asadov, staff of the Consulate General in Saint Petersburg, our compatriots, and representatives of Russian mass media.
Speaking at the award ceremony, B. Asadov emphasized that, in accordance with the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, our brave and courageous compatriot Kh. Ibadullayev was awarded the "Jasorat" medal for risking his own life and health in an extraordinary and complex situation in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, by providing practical assistance to a young child falling from the upper part of a multi-story building and saving his life, thereby clearly demonstrating the high courage, heroism, and self-sacrifice inherent in our people.
The Ambassador specifically noted in his speech that this award is not only a recognition of one individual's courage but also an important symbol demonstrating our compatriots' commitment to humanity, generosity, and high spiritual values.
Speaking at the event, Khayrullo Ibadullayev expressed gratitude to the Head of our State for this high recognition and stressed that in such a situation, it is natural for every child of Uzbekistan to act in such a way to save a child's life. He stated that he considers his action not heroism but a human duty, adding that the high trust and attention shown place a great responsibility upon him.
The event participants highly praised our compatriot's courage, noting that such good deeds serve as an exemplary model for the younger generation.
