Five people died as a result of a traffic accident on the "Navoi-Zarafshon-Uchquduq" automobile road. Kun.uz reported this.
It is reported that the tragic accident occurred on March 7 at approximately 16:30 on the Navoi-Zarafshon-Uchquduq automobile road passing through the territory of Konimekh district. A Chery-brand car moving in the "Navoi-Zarafshon" direction collided with a Kia car coming from the opposite direction.
According to preliminary information, both cars may have been moving at a speed exceeding the established limit at the time of the collision.
As a result of the accident, 3 members of one family who were in the Kia car, as well as the driver and one passenger of the Chery car — a total of 5 people — were killed. Three of them died at the scene.
One of the deceased is 41-year-old Sanjar Nurmahmedov, who reportedly worked for many years at the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine.
Also among the deceased was the administrator of a local information channel in Zarafshon city, 17-year-old Umijon To'xtamurodov. His mother and father also died with him, while his two younger brothers survived.
For information, a major traffic accident also occurred on this road on February 22, in which 4 people were killed.
