It is reported that a "Damas" model car under the control of a person born in 1996 and living in the Fergana district was inspected while exiting through the Vodil-Auto border customs post to Kyrgyzstan.
During the inspection, 4 non-standard shaped gold ingots hidden inside the car body were found and officially seized as material evidence.
According to expertise, the net weight of the gold ingots is 1 kg 232 grams, and their total value amounts to 2 billion 182 million 466 thousand soums.
Regarding the incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the said individual under Part 2, paragraph "a" of Article 182 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (violation of customs legislation), and investigative actions are being carried out.
