Russia is preparing retaliatory strikes against Kyiv after the attack on Starobelsk. It has been reported that the Russian Armed Forces are preparing a retaliatory strike for the attack on a university in the city of Starobelsk. This was announced by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the ministry's statement, foreign citizens have been called upon to leave Kyiv, while the city's residents are urged to stay away from military and administrative facilities. It is also stated that Russian troops have begun systematic strikes on enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex in Kyiv.
It is reported that among the primary targets are centers for drone production and their preparation for combat. The ministry also stated that NATO specialists are involved in this process, supplying spare parts to Ukraine, providing reconnaissance data, and designating targets.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that these strikes are also directed at decision-making centers and command posts.
The ministry linked these drastic measures to a drone attack on the night of May 22 by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the academic building and dormitory of the Luhansk State Pedagogical University in Starobelsk. It is said that as a result of this attack, 21 people were killed and 63 were injured. The Russian Foreign Ministry placed full responsibility for this incident on the Ukrainian side, emphasizing that international legal norms were violated.
