Mirziyoyev and Putin meet in St. Petersburg.

According to reports, the head of state will visit St. Petersburg upon the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will be in the Russian Federation on June 4–5 with a working visit. The Presidential Press Service reported this.

According to the report, the head of state will visit St. Petersburg at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Within the framework of the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the plenary session of the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held under the motto «Pragmatic Dialogue – A Path Towards a Sustainable Future», and will deliver a speech.

The President is expected to express his views on the current situation in the global economy, the prospects for economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as the priority directions of the country's socio-economic development.

The visit program also includes a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the negotiations, it is planned to discuss issues of further expanding strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Additionally, the leader of Uzbekistan will also participate in a ceremony dedicated to the start of construction of the first integrated nuclear power plant being built in the country.
