Today, on June 4, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
At the beginning of the conversation, the head of state sincerely congratulated Sadyr Japarov and the fraternal Kyrgyz people on Kyrgyzstan's election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2027–2028.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that this outcome is a clear expression of the high appreciation by the international community of Kyrgyzstan's active foreign policy, as well as its efforts to ensure regional stability and security.
The parties confirmed their readiness to continue close coordination and mutual support in the international arena.
During the conversation, it was noted with satisfaction that the relations of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have been elevated to a new level in recent years.
Also discussed were the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, in particular, issues of further expanding cooperation in the economy, transport, energy, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The presidents also exchanged views on the plan for upcoming events at the highest and high levels.
