A group that illegally issued Schengen visas in Germany has been exposed. The German Press Agency (DPA) reported this.

According to investigative authorities, at least 76 citizens of Uzbekistan were brought into European countries through this scheme.

It is noted that the suspects charged 2,000 euros for a Schengen visa and another 2,000 euros for a plane ticket. Additionally, fake driver's licenses were found to have been sold for 400 euros each.

The exposure of the scheme began when a Uzbek citizen was detained on a bus traveling from Prague to Amsterdam. Fake European documents were found on him.

A large-scale special operation in Germany involved 220 police officers. Searches were conducted at 7 locations, and 12 suspects have been identified, it is reported.
