In the capital of Turkey, Ankara, a man took his 3-year-old daughter hostage and threatened to throw her from a window. The publication “Milliyet” reported this.
According to reports, the incident occurred on June 5 of this year in one of the houses located on 2022 Street, Piyoda neighborhood, Etimesgut district.
According to initial reports, the man, who had quarreled with his wife, took his 3-year-old daughter hostage with a knife. Seeing him holding the child with a knife in his hand, those around him called the 112 emergency call service.
After that, police, fire department, and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Law enforcement officers tried to persuade the suspect to release his daughter, but this was unsuccessful.
Then, during an operation conducted by special forces, the man was neutralized. The girl was rescued and placed under the supervision of doctors. The suspect was taken to a hospital.
According to a police statement, the child's life was saved as a result of swift actions. Also, during the operation, one of the service dogs was injured, and measures are currently being taken to treat it.
Currently, investigative actions are being carried out regarding this incident.
