A family died as a result of a traffic accident in Istanbul, Turkey. Local publication Hürriyet reported this.
According to the report, the tragedy occurred on the morning of June 11 on the Northern Marmara Highway passing through the Çekmeköy district. A car driven by 29-year-old Sad&305;k Günden, returning from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, collided from behind with a truck traveling in the same direction.
After the impact, the car became lodged under the truck. As a result, the driver Sad&305;k Günden, his 31-year-old wife Aziza Hotamova Günden, a citizen of Uzbekistan, and their 2-month-old son Timurhan Günden, who were trapped inside the car, died at the scene.
When rescuers arrived, the three bodies were removed from the car. According to local media, the family members had been married four years ago, and they also had a 3-year-old son named Said. He was not with his parents at the time of the accident.
Reports noted that the deceased 2-month-old Timurhan had recently been circumcised, and the family had planned to hold a circumcision celebration in the coming days.
It was also reported that a 6-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan died in another traffic accident in Istanbul on June 8.
