During January–May 2026, 5,351,868 foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee.
It is noted that this figure increased by 1.1 million people, or 27.3 percent, compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the largest number of tourists to Uzbekistan came from the Kyrgyz Republic, with 1,539,503 people.
Kazakhstan and Tajikistan followed, with 1,246,689 and 1,211,060 citizens respectively visiting Uzbekistan.
Additionally, during the reporting period, 465,885 tourists came from Russia, 198,910 from Afghanistan, 178,121 from China, 136,997 from Turkmenistan, 78,312 from Turkey, 20,807 from India, and 18,291 from Germany.
Thus, the Central Asian countries continue to lead as the largest sources of tourists to Uzbekistan.
