At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Belarusian government conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President Alexander Lukashenko to the head of state.
During the dialogue, issues of further developing multifaceted partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus, as well as preparations for upcoming high-level events, were discussed.
The sides highly assessed the outcomes of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, which took place in May this year in the Tashkent region. It was noted that this meeting served to expand practical cooperation between the two countries.
During the negotiations, it was emphasized that positive dynamics are observed in trade and economic relations. Since the beginning of this year, the volume of mutual trade has increased by 32 percent.
Currently, joint cooperation projects are being implemented in agriculture, mechanical engineering, and a number of other sectors.
It was also noted that it is important to implement coordinated measures to further expand trade and economic cooperation, and to intensify cultural-humanitarian and interregional ties.
