In the Hazorasp district of the Khorezm region, a deputy mahalla governor was caught red-handed while receiving $1,400 after promising to get a citizen admitted to a higher education institution.
According to the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office, the deputy governor of the "Ziyolilar" mahalla in the Hazorasp district, I.R., told citizen D.R. that he would get him admitted to the Tashkent University of Humanities.
It is noted that he demanded $1,400 for this service. During an operational measure, he was caught with material evidence at the time of receiving the money.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 168 (fraud) and Articles 28, 211 (incitement to give a bribe) of the Criminal Code. Currently, investigative actions are being carried out.
