It is reported that the incident occurred yesterday, on June 21, at approximately 21:00 in the Yakkasaray district. The driver of a King Long brand bus operating on route No. 38, while driving along Shota Rustaveli Street towards the Southern Station, hit 26-year-old citizen A.A., who ran across a regulated pedestrian crossing at a prohibiting traffic light signal.
According to reports, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle and sent the victim to City Hospital No. 16 via an ambulance. No information about his condition has been provided yet.
This road traffic accident has been officially processed by responsible officers of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city in accordance with the established procedure.
Let us recall that on April 2 of this year, a bus in the Yakkasaray district, moving at a red traffic light, hit a 13-year-old girl crossing the road. Also, on June 6, in the Bektemir district, a Yutong electric bus, while reversing, ran over a pedestrian born in 1991, resulting in his death at the scene.
