In the Fergana region, individuals who attempted to deceive an 18-year-old girl and take her to Turkey have been apprehended. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the information, an operational measure conducted by the Department for Combating Organized Crime and the Anti-Human Trafficking Division of the Regional Internal Affairs Directorate put an end to the activities of a criminal group.
Based on preliminary data, a woman who previously lived in the Kuva district and currently resides in Denizli, Turkey, along with her accomplice living in Fergana city, had pre-arranged and been engaged in sending girls abroad.
It was established that they attempted to take a girl born in 2008, who resides in Fergana city, abroad by offering a high-paying job in Turkey. The girl agreed to the offer, but this action was prevented as a result of an operational measure conducted by law enforcement agencies.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 135 of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are currently ongoing.
