In particular, they are now gaining the authority to have unimpeded access to facilities of relevant organizations, to review necessary information, and to submit proposals regarding identified corruption cases.

Furthermore, it has been established that when signs of a corruption-related offense are detected in the first head of an agency, or when there is sufficient basis to believe that he or she is leading a criminal group, the deputy for compliance may, in agreement with the higher compliance service, directly submit relevant documents and information to law enforcement authorities.

The protection of compliance structures is also being strengthened. In particular, a criminal case against them may now only be initiated by the Prosecutor General. These innovations serve to increase the independence and effectiveness of internal anti-corruption controls in state bodies and organizations, as well as to create additional legal guarantees for the effective functioning of compliance systems.
