A large mudflow occurred in the village of Quyi Ubekimakhi, located in the Levashinsky district of Dagestan. According to reports, the mudflow stretched for several kilometers, and some houses were completely destroyed.
The incident occurred against the backdrop of heavy rainfall observed in recent days. Due to previous sharp deteriorations in the weather, a state of emergency had already been declared in the area and had been extended.
It is noted that in the spring of 2026, record levels of rainfall were observed in Dagestan, leading to mudflows and floods in a number of areas. Currently, rescue services are working in the affected areas.
