By the decision of the Supreme Council of Judges dated June 24, 2026, issues of reappointment and dismissal of a number of judges were considered.
According to the decision, one judge was reappointed for an indefinite period, and 12 judges were reappointed for the term of judicial office. Within the framework of the appointments, some judges were transferred to other regions, and accordingly, they were relieved of their positions.
At the same time, the powers of five judges were terminated early.
In particular, Bakhtiyor Roziqov, judge of criminal cases of the Tashkent Regional Court, Mavsuma Yuldosheva, judge of civil cases of the Khorezm Regional Court, and Rahmatjon Arapov, chairman of the Kushtepa District Court on criminal cases of Fergana region, were relieved of their positions upon their own applications.
Also, Sardorbek Muminov, judge of the Andijan Interdistrict Administrative Court of Andijan region, and Khurshid Kholiqov, judge of the Bekabad City Court on criminal cases of Tashkent region, were deprived of their judicial authority for violating the requirements of the Code of Judicial Ethics.
It is noted that these decisions were made on the basis of the relevant articles of the Law “On Courts”.
Let us recall that earlier, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan submitted a proposal to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis to elect Robakhon Makhmudova to the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court.
On June 18 of this year, the Senate elected Robakhon Makhmudova as Chairman of the Supreme Court for a term of five years. On June 22, the head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, introduced her to the community of judges and heads of law enforcement agencies.
