It was reported that at the beginning of the meeting, Jamieson Greer conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from US President Donald Trump to the head of state.
During the talks, issues of further developing strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and the USA, especially trade and economic cooperation, were discussed.
The parties noted with satisfaction that business ties have become more active in recent years, and the volume of mutual trade and investment indicators have been steadily growing.
Also, the practical results of the roundtable discussion held within the framework of the recently held Tashkent International Investment Forum with the participation of representatives of American companies were reviewed.
At the meeting, the process of Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization was also discussed, and the importance of continued US assistance and support in this direction was emphasized.
In addition, the need to effectively use the opportunities of the US – Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council to promote new investment and business projects was noted.
