In the water management system, 301 employees were found to have committed 243 corruption-related crimes.
During 2024–2025 and the past period of 2026, 301 employees in the system of the Ministry of Water Management committed 243 corruption-related crimes. As a result, over 70 billion soums in damage was caused to the interests of the state and society.
This was reported at a field meeting of the National Anti-Corruption Council held at the Ministry of Water Management.
During the discussions, cases of embezzlement of budget funds, illegal use of subsidies allocated for water-saving technologies, violations in the management of water fund lands, the sluggishness of digitalization efforts, and situations related to conflicts of interest were critically reviewed.
It was also noted that a large portion of the installed "Smart Water" devices are still not fully functioning effectively.
