The US has carried out new military strikes against Iran. It was also reported that on Saturday a drone attack was carried out on a vessel flying the Panamanian flag in the area of the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by BBC publication.

According to the US Central Command (Centcom), strikes were carried out on several military targets in Iranian territory in response to the "ongoing aggression" against commercial vessels.

Additionally, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had launched rockets and drones at US military infrastructure in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Following the reciprocal strikes, both sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement.

A Centcom statement emphasized that Iran "did not take the opportunity to cease fire" and attacked a tanker flying the Panamanian flag. In response, the US military stated it struck 10 Iranian military targets near the Strait of Hormuz.

The IRGC, meanwhile, stated that the US attacked several Iranian border posts and, in response, struck US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.

A US official told Reuters that no casualties or serious damage were recorded at the facilities in the region.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the US attacks, calling them a "violation of the peace agreement."

The US side, in turn, accused Iran of violating the terms of the agreement and warned that the situation could further escalate.
