The US used deck artillery for the first time in 38 years.

American military personnel used deck artillery during the process of stopping and seizing the "Touska" cargo ship related to Iran.

The War Zone publication reported this, citing an official from the U.S. Naval Forces.

It is reported that on April 19, the USS Spruance destroyer utilized a 5-inch MK-45 gun.

It is noted that this is the first use of a deck gun against sea targets by the U.S. in the last 38 years.
