Three Palestinians, including a child, were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike on the city of Deir al-Balah, located in the center of the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the Gaza Ministry of Health.
It was noted that the airstrike was carried out on June 29 at around 09:30 local time. The Israeli army confirmed that an airstrike was conducted on the area but did not provide additional details regarding the operation.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the city of Deir al-Balah is considered one of the areas under Hamas control. Currently, Israel controls approximately 60 percent of the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry’s statement said that at least 12 Palestinians have been killed as a result of attacks carried out by Israeli forces since June 27. Among the victims are eight men and four children.
Additionally, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that a Palestinian teenager was shot dead during a raid in the city of Al-Bira in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. The Israeli army stated that an investigation is being conducted into the incident and noted that soldiers fired at a person suspected of throwing stones at them.
It was reported that Israel has carried out several airstrikes on the Gaza Strip even after reaching a ceasefire agreement with Hamas in October last year, brokered by the United States.
According to the provided information, during the eight months the ceasefire was in effect, 1,045 Palestinians and four Israeli soldiers were killed in Gaza.
