In Uzbekistan, the system of training personnel for the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence will be improved, and new state scholarships will be introduced. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today, June 30, at a meeting dedicated to Youth Day.
According to the President, from now on, third-year students of higher education institutions that train personnel in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence will continue their studies at the IT Park on the basis of "dual education".
Additionally, a state scholarship named after "Muhammad al-Khwarizmi" will be introduced for talented students studying in these fields.
Furthermore, to support talented girls studying in the fields of engineering, information technology, and artificial intelligence, the "Engineer Girls" scholarship will be established.
It is noted that starting from the new academic year, these scholarships will be awarded to students of private higher education institutions as well as state universities.
The President also announced that the system of encouraging winners of international olympiads will be expanded. Now, young people who win prestigious international olympiads in artificial intelligence will also be awarded a state prize of 1 billion soums, and their teachers who trained them will receive 200 million soums.
