According to the head of state, starting from July 1, 2026, Kazakhstan is entering a new era for its sovereign history. In his words, the country will consistently move forward on the path of political and economic reforms and sustainable development.
Tokayev recalled that during the nationwide referendum held on March 15, the people made a historic choice that determines the country's future. He expressed confidence that, relying on the new Constitution, Kazakhstan will achieve all its set goals and build a just state based on the principle of equal opportunities.
Let us recall that today — July 1, 2026 — the new Constitution of Kazakhstan officially came into force. In this regard, the powers of the current Parliament have been terminated. Elections to the new unicameral Qurultoy are planned to be held in August.
