The United Arab Emirates plans to transfer 50 percent of government services to autonomous artificial intelligence systems within two years. The initiative is being implemented on the instructions of President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the new model is based on “agentic” AI systems. They will perform tasks, manage processes, and participate in decision-making without human intervention.
The new system will improve service quality, enhance efficiency, and enable real-time evaluation of results. Additionally, officials' performance will be assessed based on the pace of AI implementation.
Experts consider this reform one of the largest transformations in public administration.
