KOICA allocates $14 million for IT education development in Uzbekistan.

The project will be implemented primarily in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Kashkadarya region.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan have jointly launched a new strategic project.

Within the framework of the project, a program worth a total of $14 million will be implemented between 2026 and 2032.

Main directions:

Establishment of 16 digital education centers in Karakalpakstan and Kashkadarya;

Development of modern IT curricula;

Advanced training for IT teachers and center staff.

The goal of the project is to expand opportunities for young people to work and engage in entrepreneurship in the digital economy, as well as to strengthen the IT education ecosystem.
