Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country is ready to function stably without US financial aid. Zamon.uz reported.

At a press conference on July 1, Netanyahu said that the Israeli economy has been sufficiently strengthened and there is no longer a need for financial assistance allocated by Washington.

According to him, the government plans to start the process of gradually phasing out American financial aid as quickly as possible.

"I want to stop American aid. It is like social assistance, and we no longer need it," said the Israeli Prime Minister.

Netanyahu emphasized that the Israeli economy is no longer a small economy and the country has the ability to independently compensate for the funds allocated by the US.

At the press conference, he also touched on regional security issues, reiterating that Israel opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state. He also said that if the situation with Iran escalates, Israel is ready to take military measures again.

In addition, Netanyahu stated that as long as the threat from Hezbollah persists, Israeli troops will not leave their positions in Lebanese territory.
