At the Shota Rustaveli International Airport, the head of state was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Bochorishvili, as well as other officials.
During the official welcoming ceremony, the state flags of Uzbekistan and Georgia were raised, and an honor guard stood at attention.
According to the visit program, today President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold negotiations with the President of Georgia, Mikhail Kavelashvili.
Also, tomorrow, July 3, a meeting between the leader of Uzbekistan and the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, is scheduled to take place.
The meetings are expected to discuss issues of further developing political dialogue, trade-economic, transport-logistics, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
