Uzhydromet has warned that due to expected heavy rains on July 4-6, mudslides and flash floods may occur in the foothill and mountainous regions of the republic.

According to reports, mudslide risk is possible in the following areas:

Kashkadarya region — Yakkabog, Dehqonobod, Chiroqchi, Kitob, Shahrisabz, Kamashi and Guzor districts;
Surkhandarya region — Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Sho‘rchi, Qumqo‘rg‘on and Muzrabot districts;
Samarkand region — Urgut, Samarkand, Bulung‘ur, Nurobod, Qo‘shrabot, Kattaqo‘rg‘on, Payariq, Jomboy and Ishtikhon districts;
Navoi region — Khatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimex and Karmana districts;
Jizzakh region — Zomin, Bakhmal, G‘allaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish and Yangiobod districts;
Tashkent region — Ohangaron, Bo‘stonliq, Parkent, Piskent, O‘rtachirchiq and Yuqorichirchiq districts, as well as the cities of Angren and Olmaliq;
Namangan region — Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan and Yangiqo‘rg‘on districts;
Fergana region — Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana and Beshariq districts;
Andijan region — Andijan, Asaka, Jalaku-duk, Qo‘rg‘ontepa, Pakhtaobod, Izboskan, Xo‘jaobod and Marhamat districts, as well as the city of Xonobod.

Uzhydromet has called on residents living in foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling along these routes to take precautionary measures.

Additionally, in some regions of the republic, the risk of rainwater accumulation and localized flooding due to short-term heavy rains remains.
