The body of a citizen of Uzbekistan who drowned in a river in Turkey's Muğla province has been found. This was reported by the country's Cumhuriyet publication.

According to reports, the 21-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan had gone to the river in the Seydikemer district of Muğla province to swim. After he did not return home for a long time, his father, becoming worried, set out for the river to search for his son.

Upon arriving at the riverbank, the father found his son's clothes and immediately contacted the 112 emergency call center. Subsequently, rescuers, gendarmerie, and medical personnel were dispatched to the area.

Underwater rescuers participated in the search efforts. After several hours of searching, the young man's body was found at the bottom of the river and brought to the surface.

The body of the deceased was sent to the Muğla Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.

Currently, an investigation is being conducted by Turkish law enforcement authorities regarding this incident. The circumstances under which the citizen of Uzbekistan drowned in the river are being clarified.
