In connection with the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, the country is planning to issue a series of passports featuring the image of the current president, Donald Trump.

According to reports, the new design will place the presidential portrait and his golden signature on the inner front cover of the passport. The back side will feature a fragment of the famous work "Declaration of Independence" by the artist John Trumbull.

Such passports are said to be issued primarily through the passport agency in Washington. Documents processed online or in other regions will retain the standard design. The quantity of the new sample passports to be issued has not yet been disclosed.

The current passport design features a work by the artist Edward Percy Moran, depicting Francis Scott Key.

Additionally, it has been reported that the $100 banknotes issued for the anniversary will also bear the president's signature. Furthermore, the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts has reportedly approved the minting of a 24-carat gold coin.
