In a joint operational effort by the State Security Service, the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, and cybersecurity experts, the activities of an individual engaged in the trade of malicious software have been halted.
According to reports, a citizen born in 2005, residing in the city of Chirchik, Tashkent region, sold malicious APK software he had created to approximately 10 users via Telegram for prices ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 soums.
Furthermore, he provided technical support to his clients, offering advice on using the software. It was noted that these programs enabled unauthorized access to other individuals' Telegram accounts, reading of SMS messages, and misappropriation of funds in payment systems.
Investigations revealed that the suspect administered over five groups and channels on the messenger, where he consistently promoted malicious software.
During the operation, an Asus ExpertBook laptop, a Redmi Note 10 Pro phone, a hard drive, and bank cards were seized from him as material evidence.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident, and investigative actions are currently underway. Citizens are advised to contact the relevant authorities regarding any suspicious situations.
