During operational activities carried out against the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in a number of regions of Uzbekistan, large quantities of narcotic drugs were confiscated and persons engaged in growing cannabis were identified. This was reported by the State Security Service.
According to reports, within the framework of the operational-preventive measures "Safe and Healthy Country", special raids were carried out across the republic in cooperation with employees of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In particular, during a search of the residence of a citizen born in 1961 living in the Norin district of Namangan region, 1 kilogram 595 grams of marijuana, which was being stored for future sale, was discovered and officially seized in procedural order.
In the Chartak district of Namangan region, a person born in 1973 was found to have planted and cultivated 839 cannabis plants on his personal plot.
During an operation in Samarkand region, a person born in 1995 living in the Urgut district was stopped while driving a car in the Toyloq district. During inspection, 20 grams of heroin were taken from him as material evidence.
Also, a person born in 1962, living in the Kushkupir district of Khorezm region, previously convicted for a crime related to drug trafficking, was found to have been cultivating 36 cannabis plants.
Furthermore, a citizen born in 1973, residing in the city of Yangiyul in Tashkent region, previously convicted for a similar crime, was found to be caring for 22 cannabis plants in a greenhouse set up in his yard.
A person born in 1965, living in the Kurgantepa district of Andijan region, was exposed for cultivating 10 cannabis plants on his personal plot.
Currently, pre-investigation checks are being carried out regarding these situations.
