It was discovered that wastewater from a damaged pipe during construction work on Shota Rustaveli Street, located in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent, was discharged directly into the Salor canal. This was reported by the Main Department of Ecology and Climate Change of Tashkent city.
According to the report, a rapid working group was formed consisting of the head of the main department A. Rasulov, analytical laboratory specialists, and state inspectors of the environmental control inspection of the Yakkasaroy district, and a study was conducted at the scene.
During the inspection, it was confirmed that the wastewater was being discharged directly into the Salor canal.
After that, specialists from the analytical laboratory of the department took samples from the canal water in accordance with the established procedure and sent them for laboratory analysis.
It is noted that if, based on the results of the analysis and the findings of the study, it is determined that environmental protection requirements were not observed, appropriate measures will be taken against the perpetrators in accordance with the procedure established by law.
The department reported that additional information will be announced after the study work is completed.
