Today, July 7, strong winds and dust storms may occur in a number of regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the director of Uzhydromet, Sherzodkhoja Habibullaev.
According to him, in some areas of Bukhara, Navoi, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, wind speeds may increase to 13–18 meters per second during the day, and dust storms may occur in some places.
In Tashkent city, wind speeds are also expected to increase to 10–12 meters per second. Also, dust storms may be observed in some parts of the capital.
In this regard, the population is advised to take precautions, especially for those suffering from respiratory diseases, not to stay outdoors for a long time unnecessarily.
