According to the Ministry of Health, reports that the "electronic prescription" system has been canceled are misinterpreted. On the contrary, based on current documents, a phased expansion of this system is planned.

Specifically, in accordance with the decree dated December 15, 2025, the list of medications provided on the basis of an electronic prescription will be formed gradually. In the first phase, electronic prescriptions have been made mandatory for antibiotics, synthetic antibacterial drugs, and hormonal preparations.

The new draft decree envisions the full transition of all medical institutions and pharmacies in Tashkent city and 15 pilot regions to the electronic prescription system.

At the same time, certain medications containing potent, narcotic, or psychotropic substances, as well as processes related to the reimbursement program, will remain exempt from this system.
