In Fergana region, the illegal circulation of nearly 6 kilograms of the narcotic drug "hashish" has been stopped. This was reported by the State Security Service.

According to reports, within the framework of the operational preventive measure "Safe and Healthy Homeland" being conducted across the republic, an operational event was carried out with the participation of employees of the Fergana regional department of the State Security Service, the Internal Affairs and Customs departments.

It was found that a woman born in 1982, living in the "Beshbola" mahalla in the city of Fergana, had hidden 5 kilograms 936 grams of the narcotic drug "hashish" inside a pile of fine gravel with the intention of selling it later. This substance has been seized as material evidence.

It is noted that this woman had previously been convicted for committing a crime related to narcotic drugs. However, she did not draw appropriate conclusions from this.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against her under Article 25 and Article 273, Part 5, paragraph "a" of the Criminal Code.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing. Also, measures are being taken to identify possible accomplices of the suspect.
