A young man who demanded money from an 18-year-old girl in Tashkent in exchange for not distributing her intimate photos and videos has been detained. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to reports, the ministry received a complaint about threats to distribute intimate photos and videos belonging to a young girl on the internet.
Pre-investigation checks revealed that an 18-year-old girl living in Tashkent met a young man through the social network Instagram. Later, claiming that their relationship was serious, he persuaded the girl to send him intimate photos and videos.
After some time, the suspect demanded $300 from the girl in exchange for not distributing these materials on social networks.
During an operational operation in the Sergeli district, he was caught red-handed while receiving $200 from the victim.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 165 (extortion) of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are currently ongoing.
